Training

In partnership with Christine Wilkinson, I run a range of practical online training for those new to and established in developing creative projects. Sessions include:

An introduction to successful fundraising: aims to demystify the arts funding system and empower delegates to write their own successful funding applications. Delegates will have an understanding of the support available to them, how to write funding bids and create a balanced budget. The session also includes time to explore and develop your own project idea suitable for a future funding application.

Portfolio development: an opportunity for artists to meet with each other and trainers, from the comfort of their own studios, to share work in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere to gain positive and constructive feedback with ideas and support on how to develop their creative and professional practice.

Project development foundations: will inspire delegates and help them to set an approach that will create a sensitive working atmosphere for projects. A hands-on session will bring all the theories together into practice.

Project planning and engaging audiences: familiarises participants with the range of practical issues involved in running creative projects and the project planning process. To include online opportunities for engaging audiences. Normalising the “new normal”: learning from best practice and successful approaches during the pandemic to successfully engage with audiences

Promotion and getting your message across: explores a variety of approaches to successfully promoting projects even within tight budgets.

Monitoring and evaluation: explains the difference between monitoring and evaluation, the benefits of evaluating projects, how and when to evaluate and tips of making evaluation both creative and engaging.
