Expertise in fundraising from trusts for the charity and heritage sectors
With extensive experience as a specialist trust fundraiser in the charity and heritage sectors, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every interim assignment. I pride myself in being able to quickly get up to speed with a client’s services and culture, ensuring the bids I write are tailored to the voice of each organisation I work with. This enables me to provide charities with the support they require, when they need it most. This has often been through periods of change.
My interim assignments have been broad ranging, and have included providing strategic direction to develop and establish fundraising teams. I have worked with organisations to cover when key members of staff leave, bridging the gap until new staff are onboarded, helping them settle into their new roles. I have supported clients with capital bids or when they have needed extra support to draft one off, high value applications and tenders. I have helped charities who need to temporarily increase capacity and most recently a charity in the run up to a national merger.
I pride myself in having had the majority of my contracts for interim assignments extended, at least once, and as many as five times. I have been honoured to have been invited back to work with clients. Contracts have been flexible, tailored to the individual needs of clients, from as little as 14 days to provide continuity between staff leaving and a new recruit starting, to two years to fully establish and embed fundraising across and within a charity.
